The following are the Deli Lama's own opinions on subjects the he finds interesting, provacative, and at the core of life's mysteries.
Life is but an experience for our soul, to travel through this time period with the aid of the human form, and then to return to it's natural state, and to rejoice in infinite joy that abounds everywhere.
Don't take anything here, too seriously,
I'm just expressing my true thoughts, nothing more.

MEDITATION
Om Shanti!
From the beginning of time-we humans have wondered
about who we are-how did we get here-is there a
G*D-does he listen to me-how can I hear him?
Although probably discovered earlier, the earliest
pilgrims of Hinduism, (like Patanjali ) found
that through "inner silence" one could feel the
universe in one's "heart". One must quiet the constant
thinking and chatter of the brain in order to relax
and let the ego slip away, thus revealing one's
true self ,and allowing the realities of ALL
that there is-the one true reality-to be discovered.
Today-meditation is used, by many, as a great tool
for stress relief. The rejuvenation and peace that
follows any meditation, may be the natural "DRUG" of
the next millennium.
My own experiences, for 4 years, meditating twice
a day, for 20 to 30 minutes, helped alleviate many
of my negative thoughts and feelings. More importantly
for me, I realized, for the first time, that I am part
of everything. That the whole universe resides within
me-as it does for everything and everyone too!

DEATH
DO YOU WANNA LIVE FOREVER?
I have come to the conclusion that one of the
unique emotions for us Humans is Fear. It's not
only what keeps our soul from growing, but it is
actually the tool used that helps us mature the
most. For it is when we face our fears, take risks, and realize that we are always protected, that our
advancement into the "soul kingdom" is the most
accelerated.
This is most evident in our own
preoccupation and worries about our own mortality.
Perhaps it is this knowing that this "physical life
will end, at some unknown time, that pushes us to live
life at the fullest (hopefully!). For if we were
to know, that the afterlife ,and constant
re-incarnation, were definite, many of us would become
somewhat apathetic, while others would take unusually
extreme risks. So it seems this "soul amnesia" has its
purpose in the ever evolving soul.
We are "soul", we are spirit, currently
active participants in this Human Body, to experience
our own maturity and growth in the physical, before
eventually staying home permanently. We must master
this unique opportunity, in which the soul needs to
deal with mental, emotional,
intellectual, physical, and egocentric demands
and experiences, and find a cohesive balance, that
prepares us for our eventual "permanent"
destination.
It has been said that Life is like a
school, for a soul, needing to learn lessons, to make up
for poor choices in previous lives. Whilst I find this
to be some-what true, for me it is the opportunity to
remember whom we are through are own creative
forces. That as we realize we are unique extensions
of the "infinite"-we begin to create with
a "no-holds-bars" attitude, with perfect love, and
perfect understanding!
"Live your life as if there is no
tomorrow, discover that it is in the giving ,that
brings happiness, someday you will meet your maker, and
you will realize it is YOURSELF!"

RELIGION
MANY PATHS-MANY MASTERS !
As you might have guessed, Religion, their
organizations, and the people behind them, are of top
interest in my life. For me ,nothing is more
fascinating than man's constant quest for
knowledge, and explanation, in this realm: the constant
seeking of is there GOD ,what is GOD, and what is God's
Plan's for me, and humankind!
It is apparent, since the dawning of man, each
civilization has looked for explanations as to how
"life" comes about. Is there a Ruler of the
universe, is their a plan, is their a Force or Supreme
BEING that conveys its desires for
man??? Questions, and more questions. Early man looked
at his environment, the sky, moon, sun, and stars, and
noticed a regular pattern to most of life's events and
happenings. This led man to believe that there was a
governing Force guiding the world, and early man soon
started forming ideologies in regard to these
"unknown" forces.
They saw the power of the SUN, the WIND, and the
MOON, and the Roaring oceans. They saw the life-giver
of Rain, clouds, and the screaming Thunder and
angry lightning. And they saw the patterns in those
shining objects in the night sky. These were their
God's and Goddesses: and by paying homage and tribute
to these Gods and Goddesses, did man start his
relationship with the divine!
Then around 4000-bce,it was time for man to know
more. It was time to learn that there was a purpose to
their existence, and that ONE guiding Force was behind
all these forces. That it was time for man to
understand their own nature, their place in the
cosmos, and the ways in which mankind should learn to
live better together in harmony.
Authors note:
I have always wondered-at this time in man's
history, was there problems with the way mankind was
living. It seemed that man lived with and respected
Mother Earth. Things like
stress, suicide, depression, were unknown to these
peoples, yet GOD chooses this time to introduce
itself. Was it just man's insistent curiosity that
caused GOD to come to man at this time, or did GOD
feel that mankind really needed guidance, or maybe GOD saw that man was ready for more.???Questions, and more Questions!!!
