Cloning Your Mac Address for Linksys Routers - Page One

If you have recently purchased a Linksys Router
and you have a Cable Broadband connection to the internet
You most like likely will have to Clone your Mac address.

Your network Card contains a unique hexidecimal code that
is used by your Isp for validation purposes.
"Cloning" will allow you to make the router"appear" to have
that same Mac address, to be validated by your Cable ISP

In Windows 95/98/ME
    You Can get this info
    by doing the following:

    Hit your Start Button
    Choose Run Then type WINIPCFG and hit ok.

    The Ipconfig Utility will open up as shown to the right

    Make sure your network adapter
    is dislayed, then write down the
    Adapter address that is given

In Windows 2000/NT/XP
    You Can get this info
    by doing the following:

    Hit your Start Button
    Choose Run Then type CMD and hit ok.

    The DOS Utility will open up as shown to the right

    Type ipconfig /all---then hit enter
    The Physical Address circled above
    Displays the Adapter Address numbers
    that again, you need to write down
