- When you insert your Setup Wizard CD in the CD-ROM drive a Welcome
screen will appear.
- Make sure your NAS Server is connected and powered on.
- To Setup NAS, press the Setup button.

- You may also click on the button to view the User Guide.
- LINKSYS WEB button will take you to the Linksys web site for all the
latest product information and check for current firmware.
- Exit button will close the Step Wizard and take you to your desktop.
- Click the Setup button to configure your NAS Server.

- When you clicked on the Setup button a window will appear saying
“Searching For Instant GigaDrive”. Now you can select the GigaDrive from
the Selected Drive window.
- Search Again button is used to rescan your network for the GigaDrive.
- Create a Shortcut button will create a short cut to your desktop, if
your adding a printer to the NAS Server.
- Click Yes if you want to change any of the settings or No if you want to
keep these settings.

- Server Settings window, you can allow the NAS to use the Fixed IP
address or a Dynamic IP address.
- Fixed IP address If there's no DHCP server on the network.
- Dynamic IP Address if you wish to have the NAS server obtain an IP
address automatically from a DHCP server.
- Click Next to continue.

- When selecting Fix IP address, you can change the IP address and Subnet
Mask to match your network.
- Default Gateway is for your router’s IP address.
- If you selected Dynamic IP Address, this window is bypassed by the Setup
Wizard.

- The Setup Wizard Attention window will notify you that you might not be
on the same LAN segment with the GigaDrive.
- Click Back to re-configure the GigaDrive.
- Click Next to ignore the issue and to continue with the setup.

- Select the check box to enable
the GigaDrive to act as your DHCP Server.
- Start IP Address will be the starting point for the GigaDrive to assign
an IP Address.
- Finish IP address will be the last IP address it will assign.
- Click Next to continue.

- Locale Date: Select Month, Date and Year.
- Local Time: Select your Local Time.
- Click Next to continue.

- When the Welcome screen appears, users can gain access to either the

- Enter the User Name and then His/Hers Existing password.
- Type in the new password
- Enter to confirm the new password.

- Click OK to administer the Instant GigaDrive.

- Defrag: allows you to run a defrag on either Disk 1 or Disk 2. You can

from the drop down menu.
